Seeing God’s Leading


 

As Christians, when we pray, we only wait for three answers: yes, no and, wait. But have you ever made a plea just to get a “Yes” from God? The bible says, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe and it will be yours.


I rooted for these words and I have known of this authority given to God’s children even in my younger years. I can even remember ordering the clouds to pour some rain so I can play as I say, “In the power of Jesus Christ, I command you to rain.” or, “In the power of Jesus Christ, I command you to stop.” A child’s play with unfaltering faith. Repeatedly done this until my heart’s content. And that faith lives in me. Faith makes the impossible, possible. It is actually the key to bring down miracles easily. I’ve seen so many miracles back then and till now. Having so much to say about faith that I forgot “trust” in seeing God’s Leading.


Three years ago, I made a plea. I desperately asked God to give me that “Yes” in an instant. Fear was overwhelming that I wanted an absolute yes. There’s no question that God hears our prayer and even the things we ought not to say. Back then, I couldn’t figure out why were there so many hindrances coming in the way. Where in fact, it is not supposed to be there. I became impatient and anxious about things. So, I made a plea. Of course! He did grant my wish. But over a month, He showed me why I had to put down that opportunity. I missed a bigger fish. And yeah… shamefully, I did whine; I was broken hearted. But, I am serving a faithful God. He is still with me even when I failed Him.


Believe it or not, I am facing the same situation today. He is asking me to put down an opportunity that I’ve been praying for. How did I know? It’s simple, I walk with Him. I spend more time talking to Him, listening to Him, being fully aware of the situations and circumstances around me. Listen to church elders, pastors or friends with the same faith and spirit. Be fully aware of His answer to your prayers. Surely, I am not going to do that plea again. I will do what must be done but I will not be forcing anything. Not my will but Yours.


Always remember, Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Let Go, Let God

Whenever I hear these words I’d say, “Of course! That’s what Christians would do but one must do their best, then God will do the rest.” I think many would agree to that. I’m not someone who would wait for a miracle when I can let it happen if I just act in the first place. As confident as I am, when I knew I can do it as easy as a pie. When I was a teenager, we had a 3-day youth camp in our church with series of enjoyable obstacle course on the last part of the program. One of it was so unforgettable that it made my knees shivered and my co-camper even lost her energy to stand or walk after the exercise. What was it? “Mud Walk” You had to hold and grab the rope while being blind folded, keep down and find the way to the exit with your team. The goal was the exit or, we thought so. We were eager, we had much energy, we had confidence; giving up was not part of the option. No retreat; no surrender! Well, exit is just around the corner. Quiet Time

What's so important about 3 a.m. prayer or quiet time? So, let me share this. We had an overnight at our beach house last weekend. While sleeping at 3 a.m., I encountered a demonic entity. I recognized what it was in an instant. It was covered with black and red aura, he was kneeling at the center of the street and we were about to cross each other's path because I was moving forward. I thought we were going to have a spiritual battle or warfare but the demon was unable to move. So, I just passed through it. Little do I know, my mother was already having her quiet time and an audio prayer was amplified all over the house.  Then I remembered the demon's posture, he was kneeling and was unable to move, his hands are at the back like he was tied. He was kept still and frozen by a 3 a.m. quiet time.
