Raising A Hallelujah
Are you familiar with sleep paralysis? They also call it as “urom”. I consider it as spiritual warfare against principalities of darkness which claimed many lives. Others may not believe it but for me, it’s real.
This is just one of my encounters. Well, it started with a dream where a woman was seeking for help cause she was demon possessed. She looks familiar and I think I saw her several times but I can’t recognize her. The scene was in our old house at the balcony. She was pleading for help. The pastor together with the church elders were also there. They were circling around her. It was twilight. When they are about to pray, the light turned off. So, I went upstairs to get light. Then, when I returned, they were already exorcising. The woman was twitching her body really hard and she was making unpleasant noises. When I arrived, the setting was already horrifying. Then, I started singing, “I raise a hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies.. I raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief.”
Suddenly, I remembered I was sleeping. Then and there, I wasn’t able to move, not even my mouth, words wouldn’t come out.. But I continued singing, "I’m gonna sing, in the middle of the storm.. Louder and louder, you’re gonna hear my praises roar.. Up from the ashes, hope will arise.. Death is defeated, the King is alive!”. I sang it forcefully, and my God heard me, and He delivered me right away. I woke up and thanked Him for saving me. As Psalm 50:15 says, “Call upon me in times of trouble; I will rescue you, and you shall glorify me.”
Praising is not merely a lip service nor a song that you can just jive on. So, don’t sing based on your moods. It is not about you, It is Him that matters. And He is looking inside your heart. Glorify your good Father, He is the best father that you can have. He loves you unconditionally. (John 3:16)
